About the role
In this role, you will provide technical accounting expertise to Ampol’s Group Finance – both in relation to existing and new business activities and projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical accounting advice across the Ampol group
- Support implementation of new accounting standards and disclosures
- Prepare technical accounting papers to document and support group accounting positions
- Support the delivery of external financial reporting and draft Board and Audit Committee reports
- Assist with the external audit process and build effective relationships with auditors
- Develop and drive continuous improvement to meet the developing needs of the business
About you:
You will bring a mature understanding of technical accounting in a large corporate or within a big 4. As a team player and you will provide support to group finance and seek to continuously improve on process and ways of working.
Key skills and experience:
- Chartered Accountant
- 5+ years post qualification
- Strong technical accounting expertise and knowledge of accounting standards
- Experience managing external audit processes and relationships with auditors
- Strong excel knowledge
- Continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
