CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, Moranbah North Mine

Reporting to the Coal Handling Preparation Plant Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent is a integral member of the CHPP team responsible for leading the CHPP Maintenance and Engineering department to safely deliver the annual coal production plan by optimising maintenance activities and improving the performance of the CHPP over time.

The core function is to manage the performance of maintenance activities and deliver against agreed targets and schedules, accountable for affecting the maintenance strategy in a safe and efficient manner compliant with all relevant safety and statutory procedures and legislation. This involves coordinating effective planning and scheduling as well as effectively managing maintenance staff and contractors.

In this role, you will need to demonstrate a commitment to the ZERO Harm philosophy with demonstrated experience in delivering safety improvements and efficiencies.

You will identify and manage training gaps within the CHPP Maintenance department ensuring training aligns with business goals and objectives identified for the department and individuals through Business Planning and Performance Management processes, as well as ensuring Moranbah North Mine meets its statutory and corporate SHEC obligations by and supporting the development of the company’s Safety, Health, Environment and Community Management System.

As the successful candidate you will have significant demonstrable experience within asset management, strong leadership skills and hold a high-level understanding of regulatory standards to ensure statutory compliance of all maintenance activities at the CHPP. You will have a Trade Qualification or a Degree / Advanced Diploma from a recognised tertiary institution, in Maintenance Management.

An advantage but not essential would be the knowledge of Ellipse and SAP as both these systems will be used to comply with the work management system.

This is a residential based role with a Monday-Friday roster based at Moranbah North Mine, Moranbah, QLD.
