The Opportunity
We’re looking for a passionate Senior Specialist – Environment to join our Environmental team at Tropicana Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Superintendent: Environment Operations, this pivotal position operates on a 4 days on, 3 days off roster, ( however flexibility is available to the right applicant) with direct flights from Perth.
This is your chance to play a key role in shaping environmental performance, supporting compliance, and driving continuous improvement across site operations.
What You’ll Do
- Leading environmental compliance and regulatory obligations activities
- Provide trusted environmental advice and direction to site leadership
- Develop and implement environmental improvement strategies
- Manage environmental projects and budgets
- Conduct routine audits and inspections
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor and support environmental team members
About You
You’re someone who brings both expertise and curiosity — someone who wants to make a real impact. We are looking for:
- A strong commitment to safety and sustainability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Broad understanding of mining operations (exploration, mining, processing, maintenance)
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science (or equivalent experience)
- Proven senior-level, site-based experience
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, risk, and hazard management
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Requirements:
- National Police Clearance
- Permanent Australian work rights
