Reporting to the VP Technical Services, the Director Open Pit Mining, develops robust life-of-mine plans for each of the Australian Region's Open Pit assets. Identify and communicate key constraints to delivery of the mine plan and evaluate sustainable options for improvement
Key responsibilities include leading the development and optimisation of Life-of-Mine (LOM) Open Pit asset strategies, driving value creation and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment of physical and cost profiles, delivering business planning and study outcomes, developing effective planning systems and processes, building organisational capability, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Accountabilities:
- Lead development of life-of mine (LOM)Open Pit asset options to optimise the value of the Australia Region within the AngloGold portfolio, providing recommendations on the preferred options.
