Located in the Laverton region, AngloGold Ashanti Australia's Sunrise Dam is one of Western Australia's premier gold operations. In late 2020 a new satellite open pit was approved (Golden Delicious) which will supplement the large-scale underground operation that employs more than 650 people, and produces approximately 260,000 ounces of gold per annum. Ongoing investment in underground and regional exploration at Sunrise Dam has extended the mine life to 2031, with the opportunity for further extensions. Operating on an attractive 8/6(or variant thereof) fly-in fly-out roster, Sunrise Dam boasts excellent accommodation and facilities.
We are now seeking an experienced Warehouse Officer to join our Supply Chain team based at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, FIFO 8/6 from Perth or Kalgoorlie.
Accountable to the Warehouse Supervisor, this permanent role is responsible for general warehousing and logistics tasks including the safe and efficient handling, inspection, receipt, recording, stock taking, storage, issue, collection and distribution of materials.
The main tasks of the role include:
- Goods issues and receipting utilising SAP Supply system
- Undertake daily review of Spare Parts holdings, and update end users of availabilities
- Provide a high level of service to Warehouse and Supply customers (at service counter) and around the site and maintain a close working relationship with users
- Assisting with accurate stocktaking of all inventories on a weekly basis
- Assist the preparation of warehouse items for plant shutdowns
- Load/unload trucks when required
- Preparing inwards and outwards road & air freight
- Deliveries around site
- Safe forklift operation, loading and unloading of vehicles and reconciling against manifested items
- General housekeeping
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience within a supply / warehouse environment on a mine site in a fly in fly out basis
- Sound written and oral communication skills, good organisational skills and a good level of computer literacy
- Experience in the Transport, Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods
- A strong desire to succeed with a demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
- A Self-Starter with an ability to also work effectively within a team environment
- SAP Experience including the Materials Management Module as well as Microsoft Office suite- Outlook, Word and Excel
- Forklift license, WA high risk license (LF)
- Current WA drivers licence, minimum C manual licence
- The ability to work Permanently in Australia
- Able to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Existing and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia (Mandatory)
