We are now seeking an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Accountable to the Electrical Maintenance Superintendent.


This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.


Accountabilities:

  • Assisting the Superintendent with supervising the electrical maintenance team and ensuring that they are trained and developed to their full potential;
  • Working with the maintenance team in a ‘hands on' capacity and carrying out electrical maintenance work when required;
  • Work closely with mechanical department personnel;
  • Liaising with maintenance personnel on safety, performance and technical issues;
  • Assisting in the management and execution of daily, weekly and monthly work plans and schedules;
  • Assist with shutdown planning, scheduling and execution.
  • Assisting with Allen Bradley PLC and CITECT programming;
  • Developing detailed maintenance plans for the delivery of work including assessing labour requirements;
  • Liaise closely with metallurgical and maintenance personnel on safety, plant performance and technical issues to optimise plant performance, increasing ease of operation and eliminating existing and potential hazards and problems.
  • Assisting in the development of electrical engineering standards and work practices;
  • Ensuring team compliance with all company, legislative and statutory regulations in regards to safety and the environment;
  • Monitor procedures and suggest procedural changes or improvements that would assist in identifying and developing work practices and methods that reduce the risk of injury decrease costs and improve productivity.
  • Liaising with stores personnel to ensure timely arrival of parts and equipment.
  • Carry out the duties of statutory electrical supervisor as per the requirements of WHS (2022) Regulations

About You

  • Hold a WA "A" Grade Electrical Workers License (Cert IV in Instrumentation is desirable but not essential);
  • Currently hold or able to hold the position of Electrical Nominee registered with the Electrical Licensing Board
  • Have a minimum of 2 years proven mining industry experience in maintenance and installations in gold processing;
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role but also demonstrate a ‘hands on' approach in gold mining processing;
  • Have experience with maintenance planning/scheduling within CMMS systems, preferably SAP;
  • Hold excellent communication and leadership skills with superior analytical, planning and prioritizing skills;
  • Be proficient with Microsoft computer software, including Outlook, Office and Project; and;
  • High Voltage Switching Operator’s competency
  • Existing permanent Australian working rights
