We are now seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team on a permanent basis at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, working on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Accountable to the Electrical Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to provide electrical maintenance for designated fixed plant and infrastructure across the mine site to ensure reliable, efficient, and sustainable run time.
Accountabilities:
- Carrying out maintenance tasks (both routine and urgent work) in the Processing Plant area
- Maintaining crushers, conveyor systems, pumps, ball mills, vibrating screens & feeders, cranes & hoists, kilns, telemetry systems and all associated wiring, PLCs, instrumentation and control. In addition to electrical duties, this may also include welding, painting, greasing (lubrication) and fitting
- Carrying out electrical maintenance tasks on other areas including the Accommodation Village, Mine and Bore Fields
- Installation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment
- Availability after hours on a "Call Out" roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdowns
- Carrying out High Voltage Switching
- Carrying out shutdown maintenance tasks
About You

- Hold a WA "A" Grade Electrical Workers License (Cert IV in Instrumentation is desirable but not essential);
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fixed plant environment
- High exposure to instrumentation breakdowns and repairs
- PLC fault finding and diagnostics (prior experience with Allen Bradley preferred)
- Interpretation of electrical schematics
- Current high voltage switching certificate
- Previous new installation and testing experience
- Computer literacy
- Current elevated work platform and working at heights
- Current WA “C” Grade Drivers Licence
- Have existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia (Mandatory)
- Able to attain a new National Police Clearance
