We are now seeking a proactive Training Officer to join our Processing team at Tropicana Gold Mine.
Working as part of a large and established team reporting to the Processing Manager, you will be responsible for conducting training and assessments for both operating and Metallurgy employees to ensure safe operations and maintaining an increase in knowledge and skill sets.
This role is offered on an 8/6 roster with flights directly to site from Perth or Kalgoorlie. However, all flexible roster options will also be considered.
Accountabilities:
- Developing and reviewing training material for the operating and metallurgy team
- Providing training sessions during the onboarding of new employees
- Mentoring and coaching of Processing Trainees
- Maintain and develop the INX-LMS online induction programs.
- Maintain and develop the INX-LMS online training programs.
- Reviewing and maintaining the Training Needs Analysis for all competencies & compliances for relevant roles in InTuition.
- Provide essential training for isolations and assessments support.
- Conducting VOCs for mobile equipment and gantry crane
About You
People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of hard rock mineral processing or gold extraction methods would be highly regarded
- A positive, proactive attitude with strong attention to detail and a high regard for safety
- Prior experience in using INX, LMS and InTuition is preferable but not essential
- Previous experience in operating a gantry crane, skid steer or FEL loader is preferable but not essential
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
- A current Western Australian ‘C’ class drivers license
- Ongoing permanent work rights in Australia are mandatory
