The Opportunity
At APA, our purpose is to secure Australia’s energy future. We’re not doing it alone. We’re doing it with our customers and communities as Australia’s energy infrastructure partner, a role our unique experience and expertise positions us to play.
Our Graduate Program
At APA we’re not just about pipelines and power – we’re about powering potential.
Our Graduates are permanent employees from day one, so your rotational program is your launchpad into the dynamic world of energy infrastructure.
What’s in it for you?
- Real work, real impact: From day one, you’ll be tackling meaningful projects that contribute to keeping Australia’s energy flowing.
- Structured development: Your 2-year program offers a mix of on-the-job-learning, formal professional development, and mentoring to accelerate your growth.
- Diverse opportunities: Rotate through different teams aligned to your program to gain a broad understanding of our operations and build the skills required to thrive in our industry.
- Supportive environment: You’ll be part of a welcoming team that’s invested in your success.
- Competitive salary and benefits: We offer a rewarding package that recognises your contribution.
Our Engineering Program
Join our Engineering Program in 2027 for APA’s unique opportunities across NEM, WEM and off-grid assets, as Australia’s only High Voltage DC interconnector operator. Experience gas-fired baseload and peaking generation, renewables, including Wind, Solar and BESS, plus high voltage transmission.
You’ll gain exposure across the full asset lifecycle – from design and project delivery through to operations and maintenance. With the flexibility to build capabilities aligned to your interests and strengths, you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced engineers and industry experts, learning how to apply technical judgement in real-world, high-impact environments.
As your career takes shape, you’ll have the opportunity to build depth and direction in one of two complementary pathways. You may specialise in project delivery and project engineering focusing on the design, construction and commissioning of new growth projects, or pursue a pathway centred on the safety, reliability and long-term performance of existing and newly built infrastructure.
If you’re ready to develop your engineering skills on critical energy assets and shape Australia’s energy future, our Engineering Program is your place to start.
