The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Executive Sustainability and Corporate Affairs, we are seeking an experienced Business Manager to be the strategic right hand to the Group Executive. Drawing on your experience in Sustainability and Corporate Affairs, you will drive the coordination and operational effectiveness of the function, ensuring the successful execution of key strategic priorities and business outcomes. This role will be based at our Head Office in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner to the Group Executive and the SCA Leadership Team, helping bring strategy to life through effective planning, prioritisation and coordination across the function.
- Keep the team connected to what matters most by driving performance reporting, monitoring progress and providing clear visibility of priorities, risks and opportunities.
- Ensure executive, Board and committee reporting is delivered to the highest standard, bringing a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on quality, governance and outcomes.
- Help create an environment where people can do their best work through well planned leadership forums, team events and a consistent operating cadence that keeps everyone aligned.
- Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, lift team effectiveness and introduce practical solutions that make a real difference to how the function operates.
Your background
- You have experience partnering with senior executives, providing the support, structure and strategic focus needed to deliver priorities and achieve business outcomes.
- You bring a strong business management mindset and a proven ability to drive planning, governance and operating rhythms that keep teams aligned, focused and performing at their best.
- You are passionate about continuous improvement and have successfully introduced new ways of working that enhance team effectiveness, collaboration and delivery.
- You possess strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience supporting budgets, financial reporting and performance measures to inform decision making and track success.
- You have experience working within Sustainability and Corporate Affairs and thrive in a fast paced environment where relationship building, influencing and managing competing priorities are key to success.
