This is a 6-9 month maximum-term opportunity covering a period of parental leave. Candidates can be based in Brisbane, Perth or Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be at the centre of strategic planning for Energy Solutions, helping guide the annual Enterprise Strategy Planning process and ensuring priorities are aligned to our long-term vision.
  • Provide stewardship and continuous improvement over portfolio forums including effective prioritisation, and monitoring of portfolio performance.
  • Contribute to the development of key market models including the NEM and WEM to support strategic prioritisation.
  • Provide critical analytical support in the development of energy infrastructure business cases including technoeconomic modelling and decision support.
  • Build trusted partnerships across corporate functions, bringing people together to align planning activities, drive informed decision making and unlock shared success.
  • Champion opportunities within our offsets portfolio, from evaluating procurement options, monitoring performance through to developing offsets’ business cases that align with our growth strategy.
  • Lead and nurture a talented team, empowering them to grow, contribute and deliver exceptional outcomes that make a real difference to the business.

Your background

  • You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification, supported by practical experience in a similar role.
  • You bring experience in strategy, planning or commercial analysis, with a proven ability to connect long term business goals to practical plans that deliver results.
  • You're naturally curious and analytical, comfortable using data, modelling, benchmarking and commercial insights to build compelling business cases and support informed investment decisions.
  • Prior exposure to the National Electricity Market (Eastern Australia) and / or Wholesale Electricity Market (Western Australia).
  • You have a track record of partnering with stakeholders across complex organisations, providing trusted advice and helping navigate emerging opportunities in evolving markets and regulatory environments.
  • You understand how to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery, ensuring initiatives stay on track while continuously improving processes, governance and portfolio performance.
  • You're equally passionate about outcomes and people, bringing the commercial acumen, influencing skills and collaborative approach needed to drive value, build alignment and create lasting impact.
