The Opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest from skilled Power System Performance & Connections Managers interested in joining our Electricity Transmission team.

You will lead a System Planning and Connections team to deliver system performance assessments and ensure grid connections are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, build and develop team talent and capability
  • Oversee the delivery of system performance monitoring, recording and analysis
  • Manage the collecting the appropriate system data and the analysis of this data
  • Manage the Generator and load Connection process and assessment
  • Provide guidance, troubleshooting and technical support to proponents regarding grid modelling studies performed by third parties for Generator and load customer connections
  • Collaboration with the proponents design teams to provide guidance for preparation of key design items affecting grid connections, including voltage control strategy, plant performance curves etc,
  • Manage stakeholders to ensure grid connections are achieved

Your background

  • Tertiary qualification in electricity engineering or in a relevant field
  • Registered or Certified Professional Engineer (RPEng or CPEng and/or Engineering degree in Electrical or Power Systems)
  • Proven success in managing and leading a team of professionals and management of a functional/team budget with strong leadership impact
  • Experience in NEM grid Generator and load connection
  • Management of generator control system and power systems assessment modelling teams.
  • Experience in negotiation with major stakeholders, such as clients, consultants, contractors and authorities
