The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Business Development Manager to join our Strategy and Commercial team in Brisbane CBD or Perth CBD office on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Reporting to the General Manager Energy Solutions Power, you will be working on renewable energy and battery storage projects to help decarbonise Australia’s electricity and mining industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the electricity industry to identify and respond to opportunities including pricing and market dynamics, competitor analysis, changes in the electricity and associated infrastructure markets, and how customers use energy
- Building and maintaining relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage issues effectively, building trust and respect, and anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs
- Identifying growth opportunities and leading the origination and management of ‘greenfield’ and ‘brownfield’ opportunities. Work closely with customers to enable the provision of services and products whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory & risk management standards, and internal governance & approval processes
- Supporting and managing engagement with new and existing customers, gaining an understanding of customers’ business challenges and potential service gaps, to identify new services that can address customer requirements to grow revenue for the business and provide value for the customer
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- A tertiary qualification in business, law or a relevant technical discipline and experience in the electricity industry
- Substantial knowledge and experience executing a range of commercial analysis and transaction activities
- Proven stakeholder management skills both internally and externally
- Well-developed negotiation skills
