The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Asset Performance & Lifecycle Specialist to join our Operations team in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth on a full time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Manager Asset Performance & Lifecycle, you will play a key role in delivering APA’s asset management operating rhythm enabling APA to be world class in energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for 20+ year lifecycle plans and capex allocation of APA’s assets
- Delivering asset management performance processes to extract maximum value from the asset portfolio.
- Optimise asset lifecycle plans for a portfolio of operating assets that align with the overarching Asset Management Plan.
- Engage peers across various functions to ensure alignment and coordinate the delivery of the Operational Excellence Framework.
- Coordinate cross-functional asset strategy workshops.
- Develop business cases to justify projects while balancing cost, risk and performance of the assets
- Support broader business planning activities including budgeting, long term financial modelling and Economic Regulator submissions
- Undertake all activities with a continuous improvement mindset.
Your background
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Commercial, Economics, Engineering or similarly relevant disciplines, or Trade qualification e
- Demonstrated experience in Asset Lifecycle Management and optimisation (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Renewables or Power Generation industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with different cross functional teams.
- High level of business and financial acumen.

The Asset Management team ‘owns’ APA’s portfolio of solar, wind, power generation and pipelines. The Asset Performance & Lifecycle team engages with internal experts to deliver operating rhythm, and improve performance of the assets.
