The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Tax Consultant to join our Finance team in Melbourne, Southbank office on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Reporting to the Manager Tax compliance you will play a key role in ensuring the accountability and accuracy for end to end taxation compliance activities, services and management on behalf of APA.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculation and review of Income Tax returns for all entities, including set up of associated tax payments
- Review of tax sensitive accounts to ensure correct calculations and adjustments are made for accurate lodgement of tax returns
- Review of monthly and quarterly activity statements (BAS) and Pay As You Go (PAYG) calculations and reconciliation to the general ledger
- Assist with the preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax Returns
- Undertake research and advise as to the application and impact of specific tax provisions
Your background
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting (mandatory)
- Completed CPA/CA qualification (mandatory)
- Experience dealing with large publicly listed entities of a similar size (preferred)
- Strong competence in tax compliance and sound technical understanding of tax principles
- Experience using tax software packages

The Finance Division is responsible for all corporate financial activities that are related to the functioning, governance or consolidation of the group as a whole. The division is responsible for the provision of effective financial accountant and support functions to the internal business, and value add, revenue generating services to external entities.
To help APA power ahead, the Tax Compliance Team ensures accountability and accuracy for end to end taxation compliance activities, services and management on behalf of APA.
