The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity available for a HR Business Partner to join us in our People, Safety and Culture team in Melbourne, on a permanent full-time basis.
You will play a key role in providing specialist advice, coaching and supporting the execution of the APA People Strategy including workforce planning, talent, reward, employee relations and, by partnering with line leaders creating a culture aligned to our APA Behaviours and creating a high-performance organisation.
The location for this role is Melbourne based and hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Operations to execute the PSC Strategy as a key enabler for APA Group people priorities
- Partner directly with the Leadership team, providing coaching and support on culture, leadership and P&C Processes
- Support the development of operational P&C plans to support the implementation and embedment of the PSC strategy
- Support the development of the PSC strategy
- implement strategic workforce plans, including the annual plan
- Lead the strategic development of EA Negotiations and workforce engagement activities.
- Support leaders in the management of grievances and investigations
- Advise line leaders in employee relations and employment law matters
Your background
- Tertiary qualification and relevant work experience in related discipline
- Substantial knowledge and experience managing a range of HR operational activities for mid-large size organisations
- Extensive experience in Employee Relations, EA Negotiations and excellent knowledge of the FWA and Awards frameworks.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing process improvement and system optimisation strategies to deliver organisational compliance and efficiency
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring leaders to uplift leadership capability, specifically within an operational business
About the Team
The APA PSC strategy is to build capability and self-reliance and providing expert advice and insights. Our Team delivers excellent outcomes by partnering closely with our leadership team and PSC Centres of Excellence. The BP Team coach and support leaders to achieve the APA Behaviours by role modelling then in our day to day interactions.
