The Role

We now have an exciting opportunity to join the IOC team in Brisbane, QLD for a Permanent Full Time position. Complete controller training process is undertaken prior to taking on the full responsibility on managing one of our pipeline systems.

Reporting to the Team Leader Control Room IOC, you will play a key role in providing real time grid operation across APA’s national transmission gas pipeline assets and across defined power operating assets from our new state of the art control room

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage safe access to assets including journey management and permit of work release
  • Optimise gas grid assets and optimise commercial opportunities
  • Maintain Pipeline inventory within the commercial and technical operating envelopes
  • Ensure compression assets are efficiently utilised to maintain secure services for APA customers

About You

  • Tertiary degree or Trade qualifications in a technical discipline with experience in the Gas / Hydrocarbons processing industry (preferred)
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions under pressure
  • Computer literate with good verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills
  • Time management and organisational skills demonstrated by the ability to meet deadlines
