The Opportunity
We now have an exciting, newly-created opportunity available for a Security Engagement Lead to join us in our Security Architecture team in Melbourne on a full time permanent basis. You will join a supportive, flexible, social and inclusive team and have the unique opportunity to shape the emerging Engagement function and broader team dynamic.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain/improve practices and processes for the Security Engagement function.
- Lead and manage a small team of Business Information Security Consultants.
- Collaborate with the Security Performance and Awareness team to develop and implement a program of security education and awareness activities.
- Create awareness of and promote the activities of the Security Engagement function across APA.
- Engage with other business units to scope and estimate Enterprise Security engagement at project inception and for business-as-usual activities.
- Provide resource estimations on behalf of security departments and facilitate the smooth engagement of resources.
- Act as the first point-of-contact for security queries and engagement requests and provide advisory services.
- Capture, report on and maintain metrics for Enterprise Security activity.
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure security is embedded in initiatives (security by design).
Your background
- Qualifications in marketing, communications, and/or project management.
- Qualifications in IT or cybersecurity will be highly regarded.
- Proven experience working in a cybersecurity or information technology business partnering related role, ideally for a utilities provider.
- Ability to understand diverse business environments and risks to drive/elevate the implementation of technical solutions and technologies in support of security outcomes.
- Experience in scoping and developing proposals for projects and effectively managing resources to delivery.
- Ability to articulate and effectively communicate (verbal & written) ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring and delegation skills to lead team of security engagement consultants.
