The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Supply Chain Risk Management Specialist to join our Business Services and Finance Transformation team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney office on a Full Time Fixed Term (24 months) basis.
Reporting to the Supplier Management Team Lead, you will play a key role in supplier management by being a trusted supply chain risk advisor providing specialist advice and support on execution of APA supply chain risk management activities. Initially this role will be focused on remediation of supply chain risks, as well as identification and management of continuous improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 1st line assurance activities including but not limited to supply chain risk assessment and mitigation activities
- Provide oversight, insight and advice on supply chain risk to effectively manage risk while ensuring alignment to APA’s strategy, Risk Management System (RMS) and relevant policies
- Monitor the supply chain threat landscape, external regulatory agenda and internal operating environment to identify regulatory change requirements and emerging threat/hazards relevant to APA Group
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities relevant to supply chain
- Support supply chain risk auditing and reporting requirements
- Support the ongoing continual improvement and implementation of the Security of Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program and the supply chain risk management framework
Your background
- Proven experience in supply chain risk management space
- Excellent understanding of supply chain risk management frameworks with practical understanding of supply chain operational challenges and regulatory environment
- Ability to manage complex compliance and performance issues, including development of effective strategies to optimise performance and mitigate risk
- Ability to follow risk frameworks and systems effectively, to coach and lift risk maturity and capability
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships (both internal and external)
- Effective communication (verbal & written) to articulate risks in supply context
- Ability to investigate information, perform data research and identify trends
- Ability to monitor KPI’s and early warning indicators

Supplier Management team is a part of Procurement Operations and Governance, Business Services and Finance Transformation division of APA.
To help APA power ahead, the team is focused on supporting the business on the identification and management of supply chain risks enabling APA to make inform decisions, fulfill our legislative requirements, and maintaining secure and effective operations.
