The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a PMO Specialist to join our Technology team in Sydney office on a Permanent Full-Time basis, offering hybrid working environment.
Reporting to the Technology PMO Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day analysis and coordination of the activities of the Project Management Office by providing support and guidance to project managers, teams and IT stakeholders on PMO. You will undertake IT resourcing requirements and quality assurance checks on projects to ensure they on track to be delivered successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project reporting and governance administration, and ensure high quality project data is gathered and maintained, reports are relevant and received on-time whilst insights are highlighted and fed back to Project Managers where required
- Perform project quality assurance activities (e.g. status, commencement, stage gate and closure reviews) to assist with verifying compliance to project delivery frameworks, ensuring adherence to standard practices & project deliverables is maintained
- Maintain PMO Frameworks and related Artefacts, including management of continuous improvement activities
- Provide first level support to Project Managers and Coordinators on APA’s project processes and tools
- Provide ad-hoc support to the PMO and IT Management team, and prepare or contribute to ad-hoc project and portfolio reports
Your Background
- Proven relevant experience working in a customer-focused, adaptable and responsive IT environments, with demonstrated ability to create and maintain reports
- Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, planning and delivery skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies in simple to understand language
- Understand the key principles and experience across multiple project management methodologies (for example, PMBOK, PRINCE2, SAFe)
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry highly regarded
