The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Manager (In-line inspections and Dig-Ups) to join our Engineering and Planning team in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne or Brisbane on a Permanent Full Time Basis.

Reporting to the Team Lead Pipeline Projects, you will play a key role in planning and delivery of In-Line inspections and Dig-Ups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and delivering all aspects of in-line inspection (pigging), dig-up and repair projects from planning though to delivery and handover.
  • Ensure all elements of the project scope are delivered to schedule and budget
  • Ensuring Project Reporting and Forecasting are up to date
  • Ensuring adherence to established company project framework, engineering and quality standards, customer and regulatory standards
  • Maintaining collaborative and productive working relationships with peers and customers
  • Undertake all activities with a continuous improvement mindset.

Your Background

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Project Management (preferred)
  • Proven capability in project management of EPC projects including contract negotiation, compliance and management.
  • Demonstrated capability in delivering results using operational efficiency and commercial acumen to effectively implement the business strategy
  • Experience delivering project management activities for a large portfolio of projects.
  • Experience in the development of constructive and mutually-beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

About the Team

Operating APA’s energy infrastructure requires technical solutions and sustainable operating decisions everyday. To support operations, APA invests in a program of “stay-in-business” capital works as part of each asset’s lifecycle plan. The Infrastructure Projects team builds physical projects that minimise risks, reduce costs and improve the operability of APA’s assets.

Infrastructure Projects is a passionate multi-discipline design and delivery team, covering engineering and project management. The team delivers projects across APA’s asset base from natural gas transmission, power generation, renewables and electricity transmission. These projects ensure APA’s assets keep up with expectations of customers, the community and APA’s vision to be world class.
