The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Access and Approvals Lead to join our Infrastructure Delivery team in Brisbane on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Reporting to the Access and Approvals Manager, you will play a key role in identifying, managing and coordinating land access, statutory and regulatory approvals to facilitate the construction and operation of new infrastructure projects for APA in Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for identifying all regulatory and statutory approvals required to enable new projects to be developed and constructed
- Accountable for the acquisition of land as required to deliver new projects
- Appoint and manage external consultants through the preparation of scope and deliverables for packages of work where required and manage their performance
- Provide input into contracts
- Provide regular business updates on progress, schedule and budget management
- Fostering landowner relationships during concept and delivery of projects
- Be the point of contact within the project for all land access, environment,cultural heritage and native title approvals for both internal and external stakeholders
Your background
- Qualification in environmental science, law, project management or other relevant area of study
- Demonstrated experience in procurement of land
- Demonstrated successful experience in delivering access and approvals for power generation (renewables and/or gas-fired) and linear infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience in managing consultants (performance and budget)
- Experience in managing complex processes and identifying risk, mitigation and opportunities
- Experience in managing people and teams
