We now have an rare opportunity available for a Team Leader Asset Planning to join our team in Kidman Park SA or Eagle Form Qld on a fifteen month (15) fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Manager Asset Planning, you will play a key role in the future of gas distribution networks in Australia and the transition to renewable fuels. As part of the leadership team, you will help shape the direction, and develop and implement best practices for Asset Management, Network Capacity Management, Biomethane and Hydrogen injection, and Mains Replacement
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: manage, lead and mentor the Asset Planning team South Australia and Queensland to provide a wide range of asset strategy applications balancing cost, risk and performance.
- Future Energy: Strategic review for localised and large scope natural gas fuel replacement projects with renewable Hydrogen and Biogas.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor existing network performance, maintain network capacity models to identify gas supply risks to existing customers. Lead emergency load management.
- Network Capacity Management: Develop and optimise network augmentation designs and business cases for organic growth and major customer changes in conjunction with the commercial and energy transition teams.
- Asset Management: Develop Asset Management and Capital Expenditure Plans.
About You
- Tertiary engineering qualifications with extensive experience in one or more the following - strategic planning, asset development, network capacity planning, operations, concept or FEED engineering, project management.
- Skills leading high performance technical teams is preferred.
- Experience and passion for asset management and/or asset strategy development.
- Knowledge of gas network distribution and associated infrastructure is preferred.
- Working knowledge of gas hydraulic modelling packages such as Synergi is advantageous.
- Experience with asset management systems and processes is desirable.
Please note that this is not a maintenance planning role.
