We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Business Support Assistant to join our Operations Strategy & Integration (OS&I) team in Perth or Brisbane on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the General Manager – Operations Strategy & Integration, this role is a key enabler in improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Operations. You will act as a trusted advisor and gatekeeper to the OS&I GM and broader leadership team, supporting high‑priority initiatives, enabling collaboration across operational groups, and ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
This position plays a critical role in driving operational excellence by providing high‑quality business support, maintaining accurate and accessible information, and contributing to continuous improvement across OS&I functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑level administrative and business support, including preparation of documents, reports, briefing packs and correspondence.
- Act as a key coordination point for OS&I, scheduling and facilitating meetings, workshops and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Support effective time and priority management for the OS&I GM, ensuring deadlines, commitments and key deliverables are met.
- Maintain OS&I information systems (e.g., Teams, SharePoint), ensuring information is current, structured and easily accessible.
- Identify issues and improvement opportunities, proposing practical solutions to enhance team efficiency and ways of working.
- Engage and support stakeholders across Operations and other business units, ensuring clear communication and positive collaboration
Your background
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain momentum on key deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive problem‑solver, able to anticipate needs, identify risks and recommend effective solutions.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, scheduling and information management.
- Experience supporting senior leaders or working in fast‑paced operational or project environments.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements.

The Operations Strategy & Integration (OS&I) team plays a vital role in enabling the overall efficiency and effectiveness of APA Operations. We provide strategic planning, governance, integration and performance support to ensure Operations delivers safely, consistently and in alignment with APA’s strategic objectives.
