The Opportunity
Due to an increasing number of exciting power development projects, we are growing the team and have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join us in our Commercial Power team in Perth on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the General Manager - Power Commercial, you will lead the commercial workstream for various power development projects incorporating renewables, gas-fired generation and energy storage. You will play a key role in leading commercial structuring, customer negotiations and developing the full suite of project agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Providing investment recommendations and optimising the commercial structures for new power growth projects (both organic and inorganic)
Leading commercial negotiations and establishing appropriate risk allocation parameters with customers, network service providers and gas supply partners
Manage relationships with customers, delivery partners and other external stakeholders
Ensure that new power opportunities progress in line with APA’s governance requirements and, on completion, are handed over to APA’s operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Your background
Proven experience in commercial roles in the energy industry, with a strong preference for experience developing electricity projects in Western Australia.
Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
Proven ability to drive projects to a final investment decision in a complex stakeholder environment
