Come grow your career in a supportive environment with no billable hours! We are looking for Junior Lawyer to join the APA Legal and Governance team on a permanent full-time basis.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Counsel – Corporate and Regulatory, you will provide legal and administrative support to the APA in-house Legal team across a wide range of subject areas. You will help support APA’s growth by assisting our team with high profile growth projects, land access and approvals and general commercial contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage standard legal agreements (e.g. NDAs, supplier contracts).
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries on corporate and regulatory matters.
- Assist with internal legal queries and provide preliminary guidance under supervision.
- Manage document filing systems and legal databases
- Assist the Legal team with strategic projects to improve efficiency and reduce spend
About the Team
The Legal, Governance & Regulatory function exists to support APA to manage legal risk through the delivery of independent, commercially orientated, cost effective, high quality and timely legal advice and services. We have a supportive culture with a focus on continuous improvement. We need people who are courageous, nimble and ready to make a positive impact.
About You
You are a qualified lawyer with a practising certificate in an Australian jurisdiction and up to 2 years of post-qualification experience. You will bring:
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Curiosity, a positive attitude and willingness to upskill in unfamiliar areas
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
