To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a General Manager Development & Reservoir Management to join our team.
The Role
Reporting to the Vice President Commercial & Development, the purpose of this position is to lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver integrated subsurface, development planning and front-end support including reservoir and petroleum engineering, development geology, development planning and concept engineering.
This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.
In addition you will:
- Manage the modelling and evaluation of unconventional gas resevoirs by overseeing the gathering of key geological and reservoir data; developing and implementing modelling strategies for both static and dynamic simulation of the reservoirs; creating long term production forecasts; and creating and optimising field development plans.
- Manage hydrocarbon maturation activities through to project sanction including creation of field development plans, concept engineering activities through to and including FEED studies, development of long-term forecasts, cost estimates and schedules for all new development work, and assurance of the company’s reserves and resources reporting requirements.
- Steer the subsurface support for the integrity and optimisation of existing wells through provision of petrophysics, development geoscience and resevoir engineering to ensure well integrity, well reliability and production targets are met and individual well potential is accurately described.
- Direct the subsurface support for the design and execution of new wells and implementation of new field development plans through provision of petroleum engineering expertise to ensure safe and reliable production is delivered while maximising value and recovery and minimising development cost.

About You
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Bachelor’s degree in petroleum, chemical, or a related engineering field or an equivalent qualification in petroleum geoscience
- Chartered Professional Qualification
- Extensive experience in the Petroleum industry with emphasis on petroleum engineering and development
- As a leader of a large technical/operational team, the individual must have excellent interpersonal & leadership skills
- Successfully managed large or complex opportunities with significant risk exposure including complex regulatory and community requirements,.
- Successfully managed large FEED studies with external contractors
