About the Opportunity
ASC is seeking an experienced hands on Material Coordinator Lead to manage the day‑to‑day operations of the ASC West warehouse. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, issue, and distribution of materials to support WA project maintenance activities.
You will lead warehouse operations, coordinate freight movements, oversee inventory accuracy, and ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with ASC Corporate Management System (CMS), OH&S requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient material handling.
- Coordinate all material receipts, dispatches, storage, and stock transfers.
- The role is based at ASC West, supporting WA operations with national freight interfaces, including courier coordination and inward/outward freight processing.
- Ensure stock availability to support Production and minimise downtime.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee stocktakes and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain stock data and system transactions within IFS and GIR, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Enforce warehouse housekeeping standards, SOP compliance, and OH&S requirements.
- Provide customer-focused support to internal stakeholders, Facilities, and Production as required.
About you
You will be a reliable and disciplined leader who takes ownership of warehouse operations, demonstrates sound judgement, and upholds ASC’s values of Protect, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence . Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and customer-focused mindset will be key to your success
- 2+ years’ experience in a hands-on warehouse or logistics lead role
- Experience with MRP systems (e.g. IFS/GIR) and RF inventory systems
- Proven ability to lead warehouse staff and oversee daily operations
- Strong stock control and inventory accuracy skills
- LF Forklift licence with practical operating experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail
- Sound understanding of safety, security, and chain of custody requirements
- Eligible to obtain Baseline or NV1 Defence Security Clearance
Eligibility
- This role requires a current National Police Clearance and ‘eligibility’ to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your suitability for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
