We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

Our work is interesting and meaningful, contributing directly to Australia’s national security. You will play a pivotal role in enabling large-scale transformation programs that contribute to national capability outcomes.

These are full time 24-month fixed term contracts that can be based at our Osborne site in SA, Henderson site in WA or remote (if based outside of SA or WA).

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery including planning, execution, reporting and closure
  • Drive project governance, PMO processes and reporting across transformation initiatives
  • Manage risks, issues and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, vendors and partners
  • Oversee vendor and partner performance to ensure delivery aligns with contractual outcomes
  • Develop and manage resource plans to ensure projects are appropriately staffed
  • Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards and governance documentation
  • Facilitate workshops and drive alignment across complex stakeholder groups
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and uplift in project delivery practices

About you

  • Strong background in project management, governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working within or alongside a Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities and delivering outcomes under pressure
  • Experience delivering technology or business transformation initiatives with an understanding of large-scale transformation programs or strategic change initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Trello or similar
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across all organisational levels with the ability to influence, negotiate, engage and motivate diverse stakeholders
  • Experience managing vendors and external partners
  • Strong capabilities in risk and issue management with an agile, flexible and outcomes-driven mindset
  • Enjoying working on complex projects and delivering sustained business outcomes
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, Program Management, IT or equivalent experience
  • Experience within Defence or maritime (preferred) or complex engineering environments
  • Strong focus on collaboration, continuous improvement and delivering results
