About the Opportunity
As the Program Governance Information Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and optimising SharePoint, Teams and knowledge management solutions that create a secure, compliant and user-centric information ecosystem. You will establish a trusted single source of truth, improve information governance practices, strengthen collaboration, and ensure critical program knowledge is captured and preserved for the future.
Working at the intersection of technology, governance and business improvement, you will drive the design of information architecture, digital collaboration environments, security models and automated processes that enhance user experience, support informed decision-making and ensure audit readiness across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and governance of secure, compliant and user-friendly Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Teams environments.
- Establish and maintain trusted, audit-ready information, records and governance frameworks that support compliance and decision-making.
- Develop and standardise information architecture, repository structures, metadata and information management practices across the portfolio.
- Build and sustain knowledge management solutions that capture, preserve and enable the reuse of critical organisational and program knowledge.
- Deliver digital solutions, reporting capabilities and workflow automation that improve governance outcomes, collaboration and operational efficiency.
- Provide specialist guidance, training and support to increase stakeholder capability and adoption of best-practice information management and collaboration practices.
About you
- Advanced experience and/or advanced qualifications with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Teams.
- Expertise in information governance, information architecture and knowledge management.
- Experience building user-friendly, secure and audit-ready digital workplaces.
- Strong capability in permissions, security, metadata, taxonomy and workflow automation.
- The ability to simplify complex environments and create a trusted single source of truth.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to drive adoption and continuous improvement.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
