About the Opportunity
The Estimator role will develop estimates for the maintenance and upgrades to the Collins Class Submarines.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Estimator will develop an accurate estimate, assess the risks to determine the contingency, calculate the price of the estimate, and prepare the estimate documentation.
The Estimator will work closely with the project managers, engineers, supply chain and operations specialists to prepare the estimates.
This a permanent full time opportunity based in Osborne, SA.
Responsibilities
- Assess the workscope for the estimates to develop the Work Breakdown Structure
- Develop the estimates using appropriate cost estimating techniques
- Coordinate the risk analysis process to calculate the contingency of the estimates
- Apply the appropriate financial factors to calculate the price of the estimates
- Identify and capture the relevant terms and conditions of the estimates
- Develop the estimate documentation and support internal reviews of the estimates
Skills & Experiences
- Tertiary qualification or diploma in an applicable discipline such as Engineering, Commerce, Accounting, Project Management or Finance
- Understanding of estimating principles
- Recent graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
- Ability to apply critical thinking and analytical thinking
- Strong attention to detail
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
