About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Operational Maintenance Planning Team Lead, the Assistant Planner provides administrative and non-technical support to the Planning department, ensuring that maintenance activities are planned, supported and executed in a safe and compliant manner. This position may also require you to work with multiple Project Planners to ensure that maintenance activities are developed and coordinated in a compliant manner, utilising ASC corporate systems and processes.
Responsibilities
The day-to-day tasks of this role may include, but are not limited to: Utilisation of ASC corporate systems for creation of admin and approved maintenance instruction orders; upload of data entries/modifications; validation of data alignment between SIMS and ASC Systems; work pack readiness; work pack closeout; and defect coordination.
Provide support to the Operational Maintenance Team Lead to raise and distribute Project reports to multiple Teams/Departments within ASC, with a high focus on consistency, accuracy and efficiency of data being reported to ensure maintenance certification requirements, such as Activity Closure and Registered Maintenance Items (RMI) is accurate and aligned between ASC corporate systems and the Navy system “SIMS”.
Skills & Experiences
Working in a flexible, pro-active team environment predominately at HMAS Stirling, with the possible requirement to work out of Henderson, this role will assist with ensuring Planning commitments continue to be consistently delivered on time and of a high standard.
You will be able to demonstrate your willingness to learn and build on your experience together with the ability to communicate and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, together with:
- Proven experience in a team oriented, customer service environment.
- Sound computing skills with working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Previous experience with coordination of files, work packs or drawings in a maintenance environment.
- Proven ability for attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate well and liaise with multiple departments on a day-to-day basis.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals. Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
