About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Production Control Team Lead, we are currently seeking a permanent full time Production Controller, based in Osborne SA, to support ASC’s Critical Program of work on the Collins Class Submarines. Key responsibilities of this role are material and work pack management within operations.
About you
Our ideal candidate must display technical and report writing expertise coupled with strong written and verbal presentation skills. You will also demonstrate fantastic organisational capabilities, strong time management skills as well as the ability to interact successfully with all levels within the organisation. Be a self-starter who display highly developed planning and analytical skills as well as high motivation and initiative.
Skills & Experiences
- Demonstrated expertise in liaising with production Team Leads to ensure that specific departmental requirements are met.
- The ability to communicate effectively to various departments and stakeholders as well as effective report writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience in data entry and maintaining suitable levels of data integrity.
- Proven experience in process improvement initiatives.
- Proven trade related experience in either fabrication, construction or heavy industry and exposure to one or more of the following disciplines: Production, Production Control, Planning, scheduling, supply and or quality.
- Experience in working with structured processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated technical research skills as well as sound organisational skills.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with limited supervision and be able to work under pressure dealing with multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience in using an ERP System as well as the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals. Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
