About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic Accounts Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and accurate execution of our accounts payable and receivable functions at ASC. This newly created position will report directly to the Group Shared Services Manager and will oversee a team of accounts officers. Your primary mission will be to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciling accounts, coordinating with suppliers, and collaborating with cross-functional departments.
In this role, you will also have a unique opportunity to contribute to ASC’s role as the sustainer of the Royal Australian Navy’s six Collins Class submarines.
Responsibilities
- Manage day to day accounts payable and receivable activities
- Accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, employee related expense claims and third-party payments in accordance with payment terms
- Manage the periodical payment run of suppliers in accordance with payment terms. Support adhoc payment runs when required.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Month end closing reports and reconciliations
- Maintenance of IFS and PSI Capture (Accounts systems) ensuring system integrity is maintained and supplier data is accurately recorded.
- Provide your team with the tools and support to reach their professional goals and encourage employee contribution and accountability.
Skills & Experiences
- Working knowledge of accounts payable and receivable principles, practices and regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial records
- Ability to prioritise and multitask
- Ability to work well with others; a desire to be part of a team
- Advanced MS Office skills, with high degree of confidence in MS Excel
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
