About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Development Specialist to join our People and Culture team for a 12-month fixed term contract. Based from either our Henderson WA, or Osborne/Port Adelaide SA locations, this role will provide integral support ensuring success in our organisational talent initiatives and frameworks, allowing us to achieve our strategic outcomes.
Responsibilities
Reporting into the Organisational Development manager and working as part of the national OD team, this role is responsible for:
- Designing and implementing talent processes, frameworks, tools, and programs to build leadership bench strength and to establish a pipeline of "ready" and aware successors for future roles.
- Being the custodian of the Talent Management Cycle and systems (comprising of Performance Reviews, Succession Planning, Career and Development Planning).
- Supporting the design and implementation of talent and leadership development programs and initiatives.
- Analysing data and metrics to measure and report on the impact of Talent and OD interventions across multiple streams of work.
- Working collaboratively with our wider P&C team to provide specialist advise and achieve outcomes.
The Talent Development Specialist works closely with, and takes direction from the OD manager, in matters connecting the talent initiatives with the L&D programs and solutions.
Skills & Experiences
- Tertiary qualifications within Human Resources or relevant field and/or;
- Demonstrated experience in a Talent Development role at Specialist equivalent level in a large complex organisation.
- Strong people, learning and development focus, with the ability to coach and provide feedback to leaders, teams, and individuals.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the desire to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work at both a strategic level, as well as ‘hands on’ to design, implement and facilitate activities and solutions for customers.
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills with a strong desire to collaborate and drive best practice.
- Ability to anticipate and resolve problems; be proactive and initiate action in a timely manner to meet customer needs.
- In depth knowledge of Pageup or other talent management systems is highly desirable
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
