ASC is Australia’s submarine company. ASC built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. ASC have been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history, under the historic AUKUS agreement.
ASC is currently seeking a new CEO, who will be an exceptional leader to advance the company, capable of operating at the highest political levels domestically and internationally. This role offers the opportunity to lead an organisation at the forefront of maritime engineering and sustainment, directly contributing to Australia’s national security. The CEO will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and growth of the organisation. The CEO will ensure operations are well-resourced, developed, and managed, aligning with strategic objectives for current and future projects.
This role is vital in managing ASC’s significant organisational changes, especially with new responsibilities under the AUKUS program. The CEO will oversee the expansion of ASC’s capabilities, the establishment of international entities, and the development of sovereign submarine build competence. Additionally, the CEO will handle increased contracts, supply chain complexities, and the establishment of an Australian nuclear environment. The CEO’s leadership is essential for driving ASC’s strategic initiatives, ensuring sustainable growth, and maintaining operational excellence in a rapidly evolving industry.
