About the Opportunity
This brand-new role leads a small, tightknit team of Service Desk and Desktop Analysts in WA. You’ll handle the ‑day‑today‑ coaching, mentoring and support that helps the team deliver consistently great service. As the WA Service Desk Team Lead, you’re the local go‑to leading the WA team across multiple sites, as well as supporting the Service Desk Manager keeping everything running smoothly across the national virtual team. Juggling workloads, prioritising tasks and jumping in when technical issues need an extra pair of hands. You’ll work within Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices while helping shape a team culture that’s all about accountability, learning and giving people a great experience every time.
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor analysts across WA and SA to lift capability, performance and teamwork.
- Oversee daily workload, task prioritisation and service delivery outcomes.
- Support resolution of escalated technical issues and promote strong customer service habits.
- Maintain accurate process documentation and contribute to a current, reliable knowledge base.
- Apply ITIL‑aligned practices to incident, request and problem management.
- Identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement activities.
- Build constructive relationships with internal customers, technology teams and senior stakeholders.
About you
- Minimum 3-5 years’ IT Service Desk experience
- Enjoy leading people and get strong results through coaching and mentoring.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical users.
- Work autonomously & work well in a fast‑paced environment and stay calm when priorities shift.
- Apply ITIL and ITSM practices with confidence.
- Build collaboration across teams and support a positive, accountable culture.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility depends on obtaining and maintaining this clearance.
