ASC is Australia’s Submarine Company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension (LOTE) to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history. 

About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity available for experienced and passionate individual to join our Program Management Office as a Project Scheduler to support our Program. Reporting to the Principal Scheduler, your responsibilities will include providing technical support & advice to project managers in areas of project scheduling to support successful execution of the Program.

This role is a Permanent full-time opportunity based in Henderson, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update and maintain project schedules and baselines.
  • Monitor and control all activities through the planning and execution phase.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as required to accurately develop and maintain assigned project schedules.
  • Provide regular schedule performance reports, analysis and advice to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure integrity of data in the schedule and integration with the master program schedule.
  • Maintain key project milestones and identify any schedule risks in achieving these milestones.
  • Ensure accurate management of baseline change.

About You  

Minimum 5 years’ demonstrated scheduling and project planning or controls experience within a complex project environment, preferably in Defence, Shipbuilding and/or heavy engineering industries together with:

  • Demonstrated experience in scheduling using Primavera (or similar scheduling software)
  • Proficient Microsoft excel user and ability to work and thrive in a complex data environment.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management within a Program / Project environment.
  • Proficiency in Power BI will be highly desirable.
  • Ability to self-motivate whilst collaborating with various internal Stakeholders.
  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills relating to costs and scheduling performance and reporting.

 Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance. To check your eligibility please visit the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website.
