What the role feels like

This is a hands-on design role focused on the delivery of bridge and transport structures across a broad range of infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with experienced bridge engineers and multidisciplinary teams, gaining exposure to complex technical challenges while continuing to develop your design capability and professional growth.

What you’ll do

Undertake structural analysis and bridge design work
Deliver designs in accordance with the NZTA Bridge Manual
Coordinate closely with wider transport and multidisciplinary teams
Develop design sketches and work with modellers to document solutions
Contribute to well-coordinated and technically robust project delivery
Support the delivery of transport infrastructure projects across New Zealand

What you’ll bring

Degree qualified Civil or Structural Engineer
Around 4–5 years’ experience in bridge design
Experience working with the NZTA Bridge Manual
Progressing toward Chartered Professional Engineer status
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Interest in developing technically within a transport infrastructure environment
