At Aurecon, we are optimistic about the future. We are thinkers, solvers, and collaborators who work with our clients to deliver the infrastructure and assets that strengthen communities and create a sustainable future.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Electrical Transmission Line Engineer in our Transmission Line Engineering team based in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington or Christchurch, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.

  • Personally undertake overhead transmission line electrical design on complex engineering projects
  • Use PLS-CADD and CDEGS to develop practical and technically robust design solutions
  • Produce calculations, drawings, studies and technical design reports that support reliable project delivery
  • Contribute to EMF, earthing and lightning studies and associated technical assessments
  • Help shape practical electrical design standards and repeatable ways of working within a growing transmission line engineering capability
  • Collaborate with structural, civil and multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple locations

What you’ll bring

  • A relevant electrical engineering qualification and demonstrated experience in overhead transmission line design
  • Hands-on professional experience using PLS-CADD and CDEGS
  • Relevant experience undertaking EMF, earthing and lightning studies
  • Evidence of personally completing electrical designs, calculations, studies, drawings and technical reports
  • Strong technical capability developed through relevant industry experience and continued hands-on design involvement
  • The ability to contribute as a practising designer rather than solely in a management or coordination capacity
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills

How we support your growth

We believe your career should be a rewarding adventure. You will tackle some of the world’s most complex infrastructure challenges, in an environment that supports your ambitions, where we hold ourselves, and each other, to the highest standards. Ready for your next adventure?

If this sounds like your next step, we’d love to hear from you. We value diverse experiences and welcome applications for part-time or flexible working arrangements.
