How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
We’re seeking a Senior Façade Engineer to take a leading design role in Aurecon’s façade projects across Australia. This pivotal role suits an experienced façade design consultant who thrives on delivering complex, high-performance building envelopes and is ready to step toward leadership.
You’ll play a key role in our Integrated Sustainability team, driving façade solutions that enhance building performance and sustainability. You’ll oversee delivery across a diverse portfolio - cultural, university, sporting and entertainment, data centres, airports, and laboratories - while mentoring a talented team and shaping Aurecon’s future.
Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:
- Lead façade design services on complex, multi-disciplinary projects across Australia.
- Oversee technical delivery and quality assurance for the façade engineering team.
- Mentor and develop team capability, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Engage with clients, architects, contractors, and partners to deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Champion sustainability and performance integration in building envelopes.
- Explore growth pathways in leadership, business development, integrated design, and commercial management—your aspirations will shape your journey.
What we’re looking for:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline with a strong façade design background.
- 8+ years’ experience in façade engineering within multi-disciplinary consultancies.
- Proven ability to lead technical delivery, interrogate subcontractor details, and drive design excellence.
- Proficiency in Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, BIM, and parametric design tools.
- RPEV qualification strongly preferred; Chartered status an advantage.
- Highly developed interpersonal and client-facing skills, with the ability to influence and build trust.
- Bonus experience in sustainability integration, business development, operational leadership, and multi-disciplinary design management.
- Eligibility for Australian Defence Baseline clearance is preferred.
