As a Lead Process Engineer within our water sector, you will collaborate with highly skilled colleagues who are deeply committed to technical excellence and innovation in water management.

What You’ll Deliver:

In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in municipal water process engineering, working on a portfolio of water infrastructure projects for a key municipal water supply client in Southeast Queensland.

  • Expert Process Design Lead the design and optimisation of water treatment process feasibility studies, concept or preliminary designs in multi-discipline design teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and national regulatory frameworks through investigation and application of relevant standards in all phases of water treatment design.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise modelling tools and data analytics to evaluate system performance and make informed recommendations for process enhancements, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in water supply systems.
  • Project Collaboration and Team Development: Collaborate with other technical disciplines within the wider project teams to develop client-focused solutions as well as developing and mentoring emerging professionals within the team.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

This highly technical role requires extensive experience and a passion for process optimisation as well as a collaborative, client-focused approach. You will contribute:

  • Extensive Experience: At least 12 years of experience specifically in municipal water process engineering, with a proven track record in the design and delivery of both small and large-scale projects that encompass:
    • Advanced Water Treatment and Drinking Water process
    • Purified Recycled Water
    • Integrated Water Management
  • Technical Acumen: Experience across the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualisation and feasibility studies to detailed design, construction oversight, and commissioning of water treatment facilities.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of compliance requirements and industry standards governing water treatment processes and supply regulations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with experience in using modelling software and analytical tools to drive effective solutions and optimise operational performance.
  • Qualifications: Chartered Professional Chemical Engineer status with RPEQ or commitment to attaining this recognition.
  • Innovation Mindset: A strong commitment to fostering sustainable and effective engineering solutions that enhance environmental stewardship and community wellbeing.
