Want to bring ideas to life?

You’re in the right place. If you’re looking for a fresh challenge, why choose Aurecon? It comes down to one crucial question: what kind of impact do you want to have? Behind every great leader is strong support, organisation and trust. The decisions being made right now shape how teams work together and deliver meaningful outcomes – and one of those decisions is: for whom do you choose to work?

How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

We are seeking a capable Executive Assistant to join our People (HR) team on a 12‑month fixed term contract, providing dedicated support to two senior leaders. You will be central to ensuring seamless operations, with responsibilities spanning complex diary management, HR‑related coordination, financial support, and stakeholder engagement. Working with a collaborative team of Executive Assistants, you’ll play a key role in enabling effective leadership and supporting critical people-related initiatives across Aurecon. We are open to considering this role on a 4‑day‑per‑week arrangement for the right candidate.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:

  • Executive support including complex diary management, inbox triage, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel coordination, including regular interstate and occasional international bookings, managing multiple time zones.
  • Preparing professional PowerPoint presentations, agendas, reports, and workshop materials.
  • HR‑specific tasks such as scheduling confidential or sensitive meetings, supporting confidential processes, and preparing HR documentation or reports.
  • Financial administration, including Workday approvals, invoice processing, expenses, and tracking.
  • Event, meeting, and workshop coordination, including logistics, catering, and stakeholder communication.
  • Document and information management, ensuring alignment to The Aurecon Way and compliance with relevant policies and ways of working.

What we’re looking for:

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders in complex, fast‑paced environments.
  • Strong capability with the Microsoft Suite, particularly Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience managing sensitive or confidential information, ideally within HR‑adjacent environments or senior support roles.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, or workshops with multiple stakeholders.

Attributes

  • Discretion, and emotional maturity.
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail.
  • Calm, professional, and composed under pressure.
  • Proactive, solutions‑focused, and able to independently prioritise competing demands.
  • Approachable and effective in building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and peers.

How will your future be shaped by us?

Joining Aurecon on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract means contributing to work that sits at the forefront of innovation and sustainability. Our teams have been recognised across the industry for the quality of our work and our commitment to progressive thinking - including awards for innovation, design excellence, and sustainability leadership.

You’ll be welcomed into a supportive, collaborative and high‑performing team environment, where your ideas are valued and your perspective is genuinely heard. Aurecon’s culture is grounded in inclusion, openness and respect, reflected in our external recognitions across diversity, gender equality and LGBTI+ inclusion, as well as our long‑standing Reconciliation Action Plan.

As part of your fixed‑term engagement, you’ll have access to:

  • Flexible working arrangements (including adjusted hours, hybrid work and part‑time options)
  • A positive and team‑oriented work environment
  • Opportunities to continue developing your skills and professional capability throughout your contract.

Who is Aurecon?

Aurecon’s strength has always been our people. It’s our people who build our shared purpose and bring ideas to life. It’s our people who imagine and co-create with our clients a better future for people and the planet. Of course, you’ll probably know lots of our award-winning projects. The new Allianz Stadium in Sydney? That was us. Tāmaki Regeneration in Auckland? That was us too. And the Tseung Kwan O Interchange in Hong Kong? You guessed it, us. So, when you join us, you’ll be joining a community working together to tackle some of the world’s most complex challenges.
