Lead Water Engineer
We’re looking to strengthen our water infrastructure capability and are seeking an experienced Lead Water Engineer to help deliver major transmission pipeline and pump station projects for key water utility clients across New Zealand.
This role sits within Aurecon’s Water team delivering complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership across feasibility, concept and detailed design for major water networks.
What You'll Do
- Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering complex water infrastructure projects
- Provide technical leadership across feasibility, concept and detailed design
- Deliver transmission pipeline and pump station solutions for major water networks
- Build strong relationships with clients and support project delivery outcomes
- Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capability within the team
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards chartership)
- Strong experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects
- Advanced hydraulic design capability across pipelines and pump stations
- Experience using modelling tools such as InfoWorks, WaterGEMS or SewerGEMS
