The Role

We are seeking an experienced Underground Electrician to perform electrical maintenance tasks both breakdown and servicing on fixed plant.

Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, you will assist with reporting requirements and data entry within Pronto as well as be responsible for electrical support for the underground fixed plant hoisting and crushing systems, surface ventilation fans and various other electrical infrastructure.

The roster for this position is a residential 7/7 roster drive in, drive out. Aurelia will pay full relocation to Cobar township or your first 3 months accommodation free in a company share house.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain electrical functionality and compliance of all PGM fixed plant
  • Correct and accurate diagnostics and repair of mobile equipment in breakdown situations
  • PLC programming and fault finding
  • Perform electrical PM tasks on all fixed plant
  • Requisition of parts from store and external suppliers on behalf of PGM
  • Correctly tagging with information tags damaged or repairable items for transport to repairers
  • Participate in daily shift information meetings
  • Maintain good customer service focus to other departments
  • Good housekeeping of work shop and work areas as well as accountability for PGM tooling
  • Ensure PGM procedures are adhered to and understood
  • Ensuring all Electrical work on fixed plant is completed to a high standard in accordance with AS3000 and the site electrical engineering control plan (MECP)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses and tickets
  • Accurate recording & data entry within Pronto or any other software as required.
About you
Drawing upon your proven experience in minerals processing operations, you will be renowned for your strong focus and commitment to safety. Other desired skills and experience include:
  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Experience with Maintenance Management Systems (SAP, Pronto)
  • Demonstratable diagnostic, fault finding and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated and team orientated, with good communication skills.
