Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: AMI) is an Australian mining and exploration company with a highly strategic landholding, and two operating mines in New South Wales (NSW).

The Peak Mine is in the Cobar Basin in Western NSW, and the Federation Mine is in south-eastern NSW.

In addition, Aurelia has two consented high grade development projects. The polymetallic Federation Project is currently under construction with development ore expected in 2024. The development of the Great Cobar copper deposit will follow.

Your Role

To provide a responsible high-quality contribution to the maintenance of the Underground fixed plant & mobile equipment whilst adhering to Health and Safety Standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify hazards and risk while performing daily tasks and implement preventative measures.
  • Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures of the job.
  • Visual inspection of working area carried out to ensure workplace safety
  • Monitor process plant through visual inspection and instrumentation. Identify maintenance issues, report them in INX
  • Maintain work areas and housekeeping to a high standard.
  • Provide leadership to contract fixed plant maintenance personnel on site for specific tasks or shutdowns.
  • Perform basic operations activities if required.
  • Operate mobile equipment.
  • Ensure all work is to a high standard.
  • Function as a member of the fixed plant maintenance team providing support to this team and operations personnel as required.
  • Complete assigned PM’s
  • Undertake break down work as required
  • Communicate and liaise with Maintenance Co-ordinator/ Shift Supervisors / Safety Representatives / Process Technicians / Other Team Members.
  • Understand and comply with all Safety policies, procedures, guidelines and practices.
  • Identify and report any potential hazards as appropriate.

About You

  • Electrical trade certificate essential (NSW license)
  • High voltage ticket advantageous
  • Current C class drivers licence essential
  • Forklift ticket desirable
  • First aid ticket
  • 3+ years experience in underground mining operations
  • Previous knowledge and operation of similar plants (equipment / flowsheet)
  • Experience with radio and telemetry systems, as well as SCADA systems is an advantage
