About the role
We are looking for a skilled Charge-Up Operator to join our underground mining team. In this role, you will safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of development charge-up operations.
We offer relocation support of up to $10,000 for those wanting to live locally in Cobar. Alternatively, if you live within an 800km radius of the Peak Mine site, you can DIDO with a travel allowance.
Roster: 7/7 (Day & Night Shift)
Location: Peak Mine - Cobar NSW
Key responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently carry out all development charge-up operations
- Handle, transport, and use explosives as per regulations
- Prime, load, and detonate charges accurately
- Conduct inspections and report hazards or misfires
- Work closely with the underground team to meet production targets
Qualifications and experience
Mandatory
- Minimum 4 years of underground mining experience
- NSW Blaster’s User Explosives Licence (BUEL)
- Security Clearance (UHL)
- NSW Work Safely at Heights Certificate
- Current unrestricted C Class Driver’s Licence
Desirable
- Statement of Attainment in IKON (Electronic Detonator Initiation)
