About the role

As a Mining Engineer at Peak Mine, you will be at the forefront of shaping a new mining venture, leading safe, efficient, and innovative underground operations. This role offers the unique opportunity to join a foundational team, where your expertise will directly influence design, planning, and operational excellence, setting new standards for our mining practices. Collaborating closely with the operations and technical services teams, you’ll contribute to strategic decisions, deliver cutting-edge mine designs, and ensure compliance with NSW mining regulations in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only)

Location: Peak Gold Mine, Cobar NSW

Travel Options: Residential, DIDO, FIFO

  • DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance
  • FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

Qualifications and experience

  • Mining Engineering degree (or equivalent) with underground mining experience
  • Experience in Mine Ventilation and Drill & Blast
  • Skilled in stoping and short-term mine planning
  • Proficient in Deswik software for design, drill & blast, and scheduling
  • Experience in underground stop designs and service hole planning
  • Involved in mid-term planning and mine optimisation
  • Collaborative team player who embraces safety and accountability
  • Committed to continuous improvement and innovative solutions
  • Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
