About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic and engaging Employee Communications Manager to help connect our workforce to our vision, priorities and strategy in a meaningful and engaging way.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, shaping how we communicate important information to our people and channel their feedback to enable continuous improvement in our approach. You’ll lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide communication strategies that bring clarity to complexity, strengthen engagement and connection across the organisation, build trust, foster learning, and bring our strategy to life for every employee.

This position reports to the Head of Enterprise Change and Communication and will lead two direct reports, based in our Haymarket, Sydney office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise employee communications strategy aligned to our organisational goals, culture and priorities.
  • Partner with senior leaders to shape compelling narratives, messaging and communication approaches.
  • Design and deliver integrated communication plans across key initiatives, programs and change activity.
  • Oversee communication channels, campaigns and governance to ensure consistency, quality and effectiveness.
  • Use insights, data and employee feedback to continuously improve communication impact and engagement.
  • Simplify and streamline communications to cut through complexity and improve the employee experience.
  • Building leadership communication capability across the organisation.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing communications team.


Skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in employee, internal or change communications ideally in a large, complex or regulated environment.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into impactful communication strategies.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to make complex ideas clear and compelling.
  • Experience leading teams and building high-performing, collaborative cultures.
  • Strong judgement, prioritisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate through ambiguity.
  • A data-driven approach, using insights to shape decisions and measure success.
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, business, HR, journalism or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
