Your role at Ausgrid
Business Insights has developed a reputation for expertise in the agile development of highly-automated, configurable and business-transforming dashboards. On the back of this reputation, we are now presented with a pipeline of new dashboards to develop, and existing dashboards to continue to evolve and enhance. We are looking for a dashboard specialist with a strong data modelling background.
The Insights Lead role has been created with a view to providing leadership in the development of an enterprise reporting framework. That includes defining, preparing, and modelling data (often from different sources) to achieve a common data view. In doing so, the Insights Lead will work closely with ICT to build the optimal reporting infrastructure, and look for opportunities to:
- rationalise, consolidate, automate, simplify or even discard current reports in a process of continual improvement
- enhance the accuracy, coverage and reliability of reporting
- develop new dashboards, working adjacent to the Insight Analyst to understand the business’s reporting needs
- manage the ongoing development and enhancement of existing dashboards
- contribute to the design of our enterprise-level advanced analytics platform in Azure
Success Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering.
- Extensive experience within a large data-intensive organisation.
- Strong technical / data modelling skills across complex data environments.
- Demonstrable experience in datamarts or equivalent development using techniques such as extraction, loading, and transformation (ELT).
- Demonstrably comprehensive experience managing Power BI environments and deployment lifecycles.
- Comprehensive DAX and PowerQuery knowledge.
- Relevant experience within an electricity distribution / transmission network business (advantageous)
- Experience in the SAP enterprise asset management system (advantageous)
